I've been trying to figure out the family vacation for this year. We sorta want to do a beach vacation, but finding the perfect place has been eluding me so far. I totally get people who go to the same place every year.

Thanks for the great suggestion, but I should have been clearer in my post. We're looking for the perfect beach vacation that doesn't break the bank, hence no Caribbean island and definitely no Hawaii!!!
not exactly sure where you're at - but 'sleeping bear dunes' in Michigan is fantastic & is gentle on the wallet.
